About Us » About Muscat
The beautiful and populated city of Muscat extends within various geographical environments. It looks on the sea…and sparkling beaches, all clean and lovely, as behind, a mountain chain forms a protective wall and the surrounding hills, towers, gateways, walls, and forts have formed a defensive line during many successive historical periods.

Muscat is an ancient city with very deep roots. Because of its strategic position in the Gulf of Oman and its access to the Arabian Gulf, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean, it has crucial significance and has influenced traffic and interaction between Asia,
Africa, and Europe. Moreover, it has been vital to ancient civilisations because of its location as proven by archaeological evidence showing pre-historical humans living in the Wattaya area as far back as 10,000 B.C. Such settlement flourished throughout the ages as attested by relics of fishing tools used and sails sewn to cross seas on the voyage for human propagation and cultural exchange with old world capitals.

As before and so now, Muscat is a melting pot for the propagation of progress: global development, diverse services in various fields in society, governmental instrument works founded on scientific and artistic qualifications, health planning, and stringent monitoring in order to implement the development programme and strategy from functional systems or instruments that work to create lively projects and propose public services for city residents and visitors.
